For you created my inmost being;

...you knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made
                                                                                   Psalm 139:13-14
I could hear the child's voice from the Steve Green song in my head as I watched my daughter's baby on the ultrasound monitor. I loved hearing my daughter ooo and ahh as she saw her baby move, wave and kick for the camera. I was in awe that my baby girl was carrying this bundle of joy in her little body. What a gift from God. Yes, this baby was perfectly made, even at the size of the peach pit. I could almost hear the singing, " you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, I praise you, you knit me together in my mother's womb."
The best was calling my sister with the wonderful news of a new baby and asking her to help me share a gift with my mom. I left the hospital in a rush to be home to facetime Great Gramma opening up her gift to reveal the sweet surprise. Aunt Susie rushed home from work to meet Great Gramma at her house. And Great Gramma rushed to Aunt Susie's thinking she was going to catch the rug delivery man. With all the rushing I prayed the surprise would not be overshadowed. I prayed the excitement would not be squashed. We were all in our respective places and the gift was difficult to open, the facetime kept disconnecting and Gram had a meeting in five minutes. I thought I ruined the grand surprise by being impulsive and wanting to tell mom NOW.
Never the less, the gift was opened, Great Gramma cried and our sweet secret was out. I giggled and laughed with my sister, my mother, and both daughters throughout the day. We share our pintrest boards, our blogs and of course the ultrasound video.
The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.
