I love how we serve a loving and faithful God. I am thankful for the opportunities He has provided me. I have been given priceless moments to spend with approximately 25 third through six graders. I was empowered this year to teach them using more senses. Allowing the kids to see, touch and feel the lessons. What I did not expect was to learn from the kids reactions. Each lesson ends with me wanting more. I want to read more, study more and learn more. Right now I have committed to finishing the Leader book along with my girls. I am only on Lesson 1:6 and my mind has already been opened to new truths about scriptures. These books have challenged me to not only see the verses as my girls do, but also as the prophets did. It requires me to relate scripture to my life as a mom, a wife, a daughter, as sister, a co-worker and a leader. I am writing essay and paragraph answers to complete each section. My kids and my husband have committed to signing off on my scripture memorization and my written answers. What started out as a personal challenge has now become a household discussion. What a loving a faithful God we serve!
